Our teaching staff are all highly knowledgeable
and well-versed in the various and specific
techniques of dance. All of our teachers follow
the same positive- reinforcement teaching philosophy,
with emphasis on building a healthy self-esteem and sense of accomplishment in
each student.

Ellen Hoffman
Chief Imagination Officer (CIO), Prima Creatologist

Instructor of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced
Ballet, Jazz & Tap)
Ms. Hoffman has been teaching dance for over 23-years.
After studying locally, she moved to New Mexico
where she studied under Suzanne Johnston the original
"ballet Laurie" in Oklahoma on Broadway,
Eric Nesbitt, former Principal dancer with the New
York City Ballet, and Karen Cotter, former dancer
with American Ballet Theater II. During that time
she also taught Jazz for the Albuquerque Ballet
Company. She then returned to Harrisburg to open
her own studio, Harrisburg Academy of Dance™.
Since
the Studio began, her students received starring
roles in Broadway productions and have been accepted
to professional Ballet and modern dance companies.

 Jennifer
Hoover-Vogel
Twinkle Toes Coordinator, Creative Group Stepographer
& Manager of Emerging Mischief
(Office Manager and Instructor of Preschool
& Intro to Ballet)
Born in Harrisburg, PA, Jennifer has studied Ballet,
Jazz and Tap under the direction of Jo Ellen Hoffman
for over 15 years, starting at age 10, and has attended
many dance workshops and master classes—both
in New York and those hosted by Harrisburg Academy
of Dance™.
While she left for a short time to enjoy cheerleading
and dance team, both in high school and in college,
she returned to the Studio prior to the completion
of her bachelor’s degree and has since become
a member of the Studio’s performing company
and an instructor of Preschool and Intro to Ballet,
classes that Jennifer truly enjoys teaching. As
of the 2004 Fall Season, Jennifer became the Studio's
Office Manager.
In
addition to her work at the Studio, Jennifer holds
a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy and is currently
pursuing a Master of Science in Legal Studies: Law
and Public Policy. She is employed full-time with
the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
